We can help you fix it!
At Weighton Wax Removal, we are trained and equipped to offer multiple forms of treatment for your blocked ear problems. With over a decade of NHS experience, we are able to offer tailored treatment, as well as provide aftercare advice for how to avoid complications and look after your ears going forward.
Please note, we are currently only insured to offer treatment to adults. We will not accept bookings for anyone under the age of 18 at this time, though hope to be able to change this going forward.
Aural microsuction is a safe, minimally invasive procedure used to remove earwax, debris, or foreign objects from the ear canal. Performed by trained professionals, it involves using a microscope for precise visualization and a low-pressure suction device to gently extract blockages.
Irrigation, sometimes known as “syringing”, is an older but still useful technique where controlled pulses of water are used to soften and dislodge blockages. This can be helpful for people who have wetter, stickier earwax that is difficult to remove through suction.
Manual instrumentation is a less commonly used technique, which requires a skilled practitioner to avoid injury. This technique involves using a variety of tools, such as picks, swabs and forceps to remove hard or awkward obstructions, such as lost hearing aid parts or severely impacted wax.
